What is Private Records?

PrivateRecords is a people search data broker. They can access over 12 billion public records from multiple sources and hidden information about individuals on the dark web. With a simple search, PrivateRecords can provide you with a report on an individual that can include their contact information, address, names of relatives, dating profiles, social profiles, divorce and marriage status and court records.

If you are concerned about your online privacy, Optery helps you scan and remove your exposed private information. How do I Opt Out of Private Records?

1) Navigate to the Private Records opt-out page: https://www.privaterecords.net/optOut/name/landing. Enter your first and last name, state, and then click Search.

2) Once you have found your record from the search results, click the green arrow box on the right side of your record.

3) To submit a removal request, enter your email address, full name, address, and phone number. Complete the security CAPTCHA then click Submit.

IMPORTANT: Whenever contacting a data broker, we highly recommend using a disposable email address, and NOT using your own primary email address. Data brokers are known to add you to their marketing lists and databases whenever you contact them, even if the purpose is to opt out! For more info on Disposable Emails click here

4) Your opt-out request will be acknowledged by an on-screen confirmation. You will receive an email with a verification link from PrivateRecords. Click on the link to confirm your opt-out request.

5) Once you have clicked on the verification link, an on-screen confirmation will appear that your opt-out request was successful. Your profile will be removed immediately from Private Records.

Congratulations on completing your opt-out!
